Trade-Up Program

Used Instrument Policy:

The amount you pay for a used instrument at Papaw Odell's is the amount you will get on that instrument when you trade it in for one of greater value.

Example:

In 2018 you purchased a Martin D-16GT at Papaw Odell's for $1250.00, two years later in 2020 you decide you want to trade in the Martin for a Huss & Dalton TD-R. The Huss & Dalton cost $4,500. In this "trade-up" we would trade in the Martin at a value of $1250, and you would only owe $3,250 for the Huss & Dalton.

New Instrument Policy:

When you purchase a brand new instrument at Papaw Odell's, you are guaranteed 80% of the purchase price when you trade it in on an instrument of greater value.

Example:

In 2020 you purchased a Kentucky KM-150 at Papaw Odell's for $530, two years later in 2022 you decide you want to trade in the KM-150 for a used mandolin that cost $1200. In this "trade-up" we would give you $430.40 for the KM-150, and you would only owe $769.60 for your next mandolin.

Important Note: The trade up program assumes that the instrument being traded in is in good condition with no significant damage. Papaw Odell's, LLC reserves the right to deny the trade-up program on an instrument with excessive wear and tear or significant damage.
